BRAND AND MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Develop and implement a Comprehensive and Integrated Brand and Marketing Communications Strategy that aligns brand perception, customer reach and budget with a view to generating awareness and leads, reaching specific commercial targets

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Marketing Strategy; Developing strategies and managing marketing campaigns across print, broadcast and online platforms to ensure that products and services meet customers’ expectations. Evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, providing feedback and insight on the performance of program campaigns and relays them for further strategic development and solution formulation. A collaborative partner and liaison between all internal product departments in ensuring integrated campaigns and cohesive strategies.

▪ Brand Management; Building brand awareness and positioning. Develop marketing action plans for improved brand performance, identifying marketing opportunities, market requirements, supervising advertising, product design and other forms of marketing to maintain consistency in Branding. Plays an analytical role in conducting research analysis, translating campaign performance into communication briefs, and circulating to key stakeholders. Ensures that all products maintain a consistent tone that is relevant to the business’s brand and consumers’ needs, solidifying the brand identity by ensuring consistent, on-time and accurate development, delivery, and assets running for each brand marketing campaign.

▪ Public Relations; Understanding the organization's objectives and promotional policies. Build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promotes products and services. Planning/Directing the development of programs to maintain favorable public views of the organization's agenda and accomplishments. Directing editing organizational publications and media communications for internal and external audiences. Ensure that the business does not lag of its competition and in order to provide growth opportunity for the brand by capitalizing on the acquisition potential that alternative branding strategies/approaches may hold.

▪ Market/ Competitor Research; Direct marketing communication efforts by presenting market research to Management and suggesting strategies to expand market research. Research emerging industry trends and recommend new marketing communication strategies to build, maintain and grow client engagement. Keep abreast of competitor’s activity, evaluating key competitor’s strength and weakness and recommend necessary tactical action monthly. Keep up to date with customer trends, as well as trying to predict future trends.

▪ Budget allocation and Management; Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment, and profit-loss projections on departmental spend. Tasked with collaborating with external partners in ensuring that all media plans are aligned with the business’s values and goals and are executed on-time and on-budget.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. A relevant professional qualification will be an advantage. Knowledge of consumer marketing. Experience with digital marketing forms; social media marketing and content marketing. Proven work experience running a marketing campaign and leading a marketing team. High competency in project and stakeholder management is a huge advantage. Ability to manage and allocate budgets.

Minimum Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ work experience with at least 4 years in supervisory position. Must have managed teams previously.
