Ithaa means ‘mother of pearl’ and is rated the most beautiful restaurant in the world by New York Daily news in 2014 and they have bagged other awards.

You probably wondering what makes this restaurant so amazing outside the fact that it is underwater, extraordinary right!
The entrance to this amazing restaurant is a spiral staircase in a thatched pavilion at the end of a jetty; visitors enter the building which has a curved roof like a tunnel, from above. The Restaurant is secured five meters below sea land at the Hilton Maldives resort and spa, the lthaa undersea restaurant is mostly acrylic building that only seats 14.
Offering a 270 – degree panoramic view to its customers, that officially opened in the year 2005 and charges a premium for its meals but they might cost less than one would expect for an underwater dinner. They start at price at about $120 USD for lunch hotel quest.
Designed by the Kula Lumpur National science National science center, the building qualifies as the world’s largest aquarium tunnel. After the completion in 2004, lthaa was taken to the Maldives in the back of an ocean-going barge. It took 16days to arrive, it was estimated that the restaurant, which is placed in extreme conditions; will only last for 20years.
